Ocean's Cove is 7,450 square feet of high-limit slots -- over 140 machines -- one floor below The Loft, an invitation-only table games room 44 stories up. If you snapped a photo somewhere in that neighborhood, the machine details matter more than the view.

Ocean Casino Resort sits on Atlantic City's Boardwalk, on 20 beachfront acres, running an estimated 1,800-plus slot machines and a name-brand mix of table games across the property. The building has had more owners and names than almost any casino on the Boardwalk -- it opened in 2012 as the $2.4 billion Revel, closed in 2014, and went through three more owners and two more names before settling as Ocean Casino Resort in 2019. What's on the floor today spans dozens of named slot titles across the main casino floor and the dedicated high-limit Cove, plus a rebranded sportsbook lounge. Here's what's actually there, what the room feels like, and what to know before you sit down.

Slot Machines on the Main Floor

Ocean's currently featured floor slots include Lightning 10 Year Storm, Spooky Link Grand, and Ultimate Fast Cash, alongside Bao Zhu Zhao Fu Firecracker Express and Huff N' More Puff -- the last two get their own dedicated pages on Ocean's site. Beyond those headline titles, an official blog post naming the floor's exclusive slots lists 5 Dragons Ultra, Coin Trio Piggy Burst, Power Push Long De Xiyue, Dragon Jin Long Jin Bao, Frankenstein, and Big Fish Jackpots as additional exclusives, plus Magic Treasures, Mystery of the Lamp, and Cash Express Mega Line named in a separate post. The buffalo family runs deep here too: Buffalo Ascension, Buffalo Diamond Extreme, Buffalo Gold Collection, and Buffalo Gold Revolution all have a place on the floor, and Ocean has specifically promoted carrying Atlantic City's largest collection of Aristocrat's Buffalo Link, a game combining Buffalo's theme with the Hold & Spin mechanics of Lightning Link and Dragon Link. A newer three-title series called The Vault -- China Blessings, Vegas Luck, and Egypt Gems -- runs on a linked, bank-wide format where players can trigger a Diamond Rush bonus or steal diamonds from other players at the same bank in a Diamond Heist feature.

The Cove High-Limit Room

Ocean's high-limit action is concentrated in The Cove, a 7,450-square-foot room with over 140 slot machines set apart from the main floor. Its named lineup runs considerably wider than the everyday floor: Wheel of Fortune shows up in six separate forms here -- Cash Link Exotic Far East, Cash Link Latin Getaways, Double 3x4x5x Pay, Double Diamond, Pink Diamond, and Rwb -- alongside two Wicked Wheel variants, Fire Phoenix and Panda. The Quick Hit family is represented by 5x 10x Pay, Double Jackpot Black And White, and Double Jackpot Triple Blazing 7's, joined by Double Jackpot Gems and Double Jackpot Lion's Share. Classic and long-running titles fill out the rest of the room: Top Dollar, Zeus, Dancing Drums, Triple Wild Dragon, Tut's Reign, Reel Hot 7's Classic, Eagle Bucks Sap, African Diamond, 88 Fortunes Dollar, Shanghai Fortunes, Jin Long 888, Kingmaker, Grand Ave, Cash Machine, Persian Fortunes, and Lock It Link Piggy Bankin'. Poker-format video machines round things out with All-Star 2 Poker, Five Star Poker, Game King Poker, and a Jeopardy-branded cabinet.

Table Games

The Cove also carries named table-game variants beyond standard blackjack and roulette: No Commission Baccarat, EZ Baccarat, and Mini-Baccarat cover three different baccarat formats, Spanish 21 offers a blackjack variant with its own rule set, Mississippi Stud and High Card Flush are poker-style table games, Bonus Craps adds side-bet action to standard craps, and Fire + Ice Wager Pai Gow Tiles is a themed pai gow tiles variant.

The Gallery Bar, Book & Games

Sports betting at Ocean now runs through Fanatics Sportsbook, housed in a venue called The Gallery Bar, Book & Games -- a 12,000-square-foot space on the Casino Level that replaced the property's original William Hill sportsbook branding. It combines a 100-foot elevated bar with 59 seats and 12 slot machines, 140 feet of LED walls, and blackjack and roulette tables ringing the perimeter of the bar itself, functioning as a hybrid sportsbook, social gaming lounge, and bar rather than a standalone betting counter.

Layout, Decor, and Atmosphere

One destination review compares Ocean's main gaming floor favorably to the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, calling it an 'ultra-modern,' 'swish gaming space' that's 'maintained impeccably.' Drink service gets similar marks: free drinks are offered regularly to guests actively playing, with waitresses described as extremely friendly -- the same review recommends tipping $5 with the first drink to keep that service consistent through a longer session.

History and Location

Few Boardwalk casinos have changed hands as often as this one. The building opened on April 2, 2012 as Revel, a $2.4 billion project backed partly by up to $261 million in state tax incentives under Governor Chris Christie. It never turned a profit -- Revel lost $35 million in its first full quarter and $37 million in the next -- and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy by February 2013, with its valuation falling from $2.4 billion to $450 million. A second bankruptcy followed in 2014, and the property closed entirely on September 2, 2014. Glenn Straub's Polo North Country Club bought the shuttered casino for $82 million in April 2015 and rebranded it TEN Atlantic City in 2016, with a planned 2017 reopening that never happened. AC Ocean Walk purchased the property for $200 million in January 2018, and it reopened that June as Ocean Resort Casino before taking its current name, Ocean Casino Resort, in April 2019. Ownership changed hands again in August 2026, when Ilitch Gaming acquired the property outright.

What to Know Before You Play

A few practical notes: Ocean's main floor and The Cove run largely different slot lineups, so if you're chasing a specific link or Wheel of Fortune variant, check which room you were actually in -- several titles named here only exist in the high-limit Cove, not on the general floor. The Gallery Bar, Book & Games keeps limited sportsbook hours even though the bar itself stays open 24 hours, so time a bet accordingly.
